On the Day

Each of the select few weddings held at Hopewood each year are fully tailored to specification to create your perfect day (and treasured memories). Every Bride at Hopewood is given special access to a private Bridal Retreat area (including Bathroom), used for Bridal preparations or for their storage. Whilst you are having wedding photographs taken in the numerous garden locations, your guests can also explore the grounds, enjoy croquet, and bocce.

There are several areas around the Hopewood gardens to hold your ceremony.  The most popular is the “Garden Chapel,” other beautiful options include the sunken garden, and various other garden locations depending on the size of the wedding. Photographers can utilise any of the unique and expansive garden areas, including the ruins and sunken gardens. Our winter and wet weather options are some of the warmest spaces in the Southern Highlands - Ask us about the Pavilion Terrace and the Polo Bar.

Music @ Hopewood

Hopewood House is a private estate nestled in the Bowral community. Hopewood keeps our neighbours and the community in mind (along with local councils enforcement of strict sound level laws).

This means Bands are not suitable to book for your event at Hopewood.

There is the potential to discuss Piano/DJ's who will be responsible for monitoring and adhering to strict 85db sound levels.

We have included in our venue hire fee the inclusion of local musician - Bryn.

There is a wireless microphone and in built speakers in these areas.  The outside speakers at the ceremony area are weatherproof.  We also have a grand piano and an upright Bechstein piano.

Please note: If you wish to have alternative supplier at your event the sound must not exceed 85dB within the venue - Suppliers will be required to agree to this condition, sign documentation prior to the day ensuring sound levels are not exceeded at the time of the event.

Q: Is there a fireplace in the Pavilion dining room?

A: Yes.

Q: Is there air conditioning in the Pavilion?

A: The upstairs Pavilion is air conditioned throughout.
